The Kewanee Humane Society is a non-profit
service organization dedicated to the care and
well-being of animals. Our mission is to offer
refuge, nourishment, and an opportunity for a
second chance at life to unwanted cats and dogs.
To protect animals from cruelity, neglect,
carelessness, and ignorance. To foster public
seniment of humanity and gentleness toward
all animals through education and encouragement.
And to promote the lifelong commitment of
responsible pet ownership.
We are funded solely from donations and fundraisers.
We do not receive any local, state, or federal funding.

Date-With-A-Dog is a volunteer opportunity that would allow people to spend time with our dogs on a weekly basis: involving anything from walking them for a hour, to keeping them overnight for a sleep-over, to even fostering for as long as you'd like. Just like people dating, you can fall in love and be together as much as you want!
We will provide free hands-on training before matching people with individual dogs
We guarantee unconditional love on each and every date!
We Always Need The Following Donatations..
Individuals or businesses with products or money to donate can receive a receipt for the value of the donated items and we will even pick the items up for you!
We currently have an URGENT need for the following items
bleach, spic 'n span, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry soap, dish soap, Germ-X, blankets and sheets, straw, scrub brushes, and sponges.
Dogs are in need of the following items
rawhide bones, chew bones, treats, and canned food (Alpo or Pedigree only please).
Cats are in need of the following items
kitty litter, cat toys, and canned food ( any brand).
